JJJJound - Fitting Station (Paris)

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of ASICS’ GEL-QUANTUM 360 I AMP, JJJJound presents “Fitting Station”.

A site-specific installation that reimagines the vernacular of retail environments through a language of aesthetic restraint and material singularity.

The installation mixes the commercial behaviour of shopping with industrial design.

Vintage vertical fluorescent lights along with metallic waiting benches form the spatial foundation. A matching custom shoe fitting stool with a matching perforation pattern was created to fit the footwear theme. A selection of utilitarian objects such as bespoke shoe horns and a vintage foot measurer are positioned throughout with sculptural intent.

In dialogue with JJJJound’s limited-edition offering of the GEL-QUANTUM 360 I AMP, Fitting Station embodies the same ethos: one of calm articulation, quiet precision, and purposeful clarity. Rather than stage a spectacle, the installation reflects on the fitting process ritual and the beauty found in its quiet utility.
